Today’s beverage was inspired by the classic cocktail called Pina Colada. It’s refreshing, full of flavor and extremely easy to make!
For one glass of our Chilled coconut americano you will need:
- 110 ml of brewed and chilled filter coffee
- 110 ml of pure coconut water (you can choose the one you prefer)
- 30 ml of sweet&sour mix
For the filter coffee we originally used a 50/50 blend of anaerobic Colombia and natural Ethiopia. This blend combines the tropical fruitiness of anaerobic coffees and velvety texture of natural Ethiopias.
Just use 15 grams of this blend per 150 ml of water, and your favorite filter coffee brewing technique. Then let the coffee chill down in the fridge.
For the sweet&sour mix, just mix 2 parts of white sugar syrup and 1 part of fresh lemon juice. As for the white sugar syrup, take sugar and water in 1:1 ratio, heat the water and stir the mix until all the sugar melts. Then cool it down.
So, now you have all the ingredients, and what you have to do is as follows:
- Mix chilled coffee, coconut water and sweet&sour mix
- Stir it with a spoon
- Add ice (or don’t, it’s up to you :))
- Don’t forget to make some more for your friends
